Dr Ayesha Mian is double board-certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine and draws upon 20+ years of experience in the medical and psychiatric fields. She graduated from University of California, Irvine with Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, George Washington University with Medical Doctorate and later completed her residency training there.

Dr Mian is known for her empathetic, compassionate, collaborative, holistic and competent care to her patients. She works with adults and late teens with a variety of challenges including mood disorders, psychotic disorders, eating disorders, attention-deficit disorders and substance abuse. She has a special interest in women’s health including peri-partum and post-partum issues. She has been named Top Doctor by the Washingtonian Magazine, Northern Virginia Magazine and Arlington Magazine for a number of years.

Dr Mian acts as a consultant with the Physicians for Human Rights, and has been involved in medical relief missions in Haiti, Kashmir and Syrian refugee camps amongst others. She also offers consultations for marginalized and traumatized communities such as Uyghurs seeking asylum in the United States.

She is available for new patients in the states of Virginia and Maryland. She does not work directly with insurance companies but her patients can submit claims to their insurer for reimbursement.
